Mills Bldg Renovation/St. Regis Parking Garage, El Paso, TX Scope of Work Border performed the complete demolition of a multi story concrete parking garage and selective interior and exterior demolition of a twelve story historical building which is located in Downtown El Paso, TX. Border utilized a high reach demolition excavator so as to confine the break up of debris, and expedite the job. Because of the value engineering that Border utilized on the job, we were able to deliver the project weeks ahead of schedule, and the customer received a deductive change order credit. |

Base Demolition of Buildings Base-wide- IDIQ- Ft. Bliss, TX Scope of Work Scope of work includes the complete demolition of a variety of buildings base-wide. The last task order involved the demolition of three (3) wooden structures totaling approximately 57,000 SF. Buildings and slabs were demolished to approximately 3’ below grade, and 5’ beyond building perimeters. This project also involved the demolition of a 60’ smoke stack. The facilities demolished were utilized as a laundry facility and power station. This project involved contractor salvage of some large industrial equipment. This project called for a minimum of 50% recycling (landfill diversion), and back up documentation as proof. Border surpassed this requirement, and ended up recycling approximately 65% of all debris. Border coordinated the service disconnects and capping of utilities with Fort Bliss personnel. This project was completed without any safety incidents. Border performed all demolition activities with in house personnel. The only notable areas that were subcontracted were the crane service (to remove salvageable items), and some of the hauling of debris/recyclables.

Mold Remediation of Buildings Base-Wide- IDIQ
Scope of Work Scope of work includes the remediation of mold and restoration of a variety of buildings base-wide. Border has performed six task orders to date, totaling over $3 million dollars. This contract has entailed precise and exact matching for replacement of windows and attention to detail is essential for the various projects that involve historical buildings. Many of the buildings in this contract involve the expedited coordination of schedules among the subcontracted work and environmental personnel. |

Northpark Mall Demolition & Abatement, El Paso, TX Scope of Work The Northpark Mall Site Demolition project consists of providing all labor, equipment, material and incidentals to remove existing asbestos floor tile, asbestos mastic, all buildings including but not limited to concrete pads with foundations, asphalt pavements, walls, basements, curbs, providing backfill material to basement areas and other incidentals from the property. The scope of work performed directly by Border Demolition & Environmental consisted of asbestos floor tile abatement, asbestos mastic abatement, concrete demolition, asphalt demolition, sidewalk demolition and concrete curb demolition. All of the demolished concrete material was crushed and recycled on-site for use as final site overlay. All of the demolished steel material was recycled. The scope of work performed directly by Border Demolition & Environmental consists of the removal of existing asbestos materials as shown in the asbestos survey. All asbestos material was removed and disposed of properly prior to any demolition. We recycled over 75% of all demolished items. The contract requirement was 50%. ![]() |
